Trinidad MacAuliffe is an award winning Photographer, Multimedia Artist and Educator. Born and raised in Chile she spent the early part of her adult life in New York City working as a freelance artist before relocating to Cincinnati, Oh. MacAuliffe earned her Masters of Fine Arts from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati in 2006.

MacAuliffe’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally with several shows in New York, Los Angeles, Ohio, and Colorado as well as Japan and Chile. Her work as an artist and art director have won her placement in several publications including the New York Times, Nueva Luz, and Camera Arts Magazine.

She has been the recipient of several artist awards, grants, and fellowships including Graduate Summer Research Grant from the University of Cincinnati, Summer Fair Artist Grant, The Louis Rockwood Grant, Winner of the En Foco New Works Award in 2005, The Camera Arts Show case award and portfolio show case.
Several honor mentions include Adobe Digital Imaging and the International Photography Award in 2008.

In 2008 MacAuliffe created a large scale photographic installation featuring images of children for the Lois and Richard Rosenthal Contemporary Art Museum. Additionally, she served as a juror for the Illinois Arts Council Photography Fellowship Awards, and later served as visual director for the Concert: Nova Project “Waiting for the End of Time”.

MacAuliffe’s work is deeply conceptual and often results in bodies of work that capture her artistic vision and philosophical approach. In each of her projects MacAuliffe incorporates her early training in anatomical drawing and later work in theatrical make-up and design to fully realize her dynamic and professional work which has fast become her trademark.
